To Spiva Membership and Patrons,
The health and safety of our patrons, staff and artists will always be of the utmost concern. We are closely monitoring the regional response to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19. At this time, there will be no change to our regular Tuesday through Saturday business hours.
Spiva has proactively been following CDC guidelines for business and school sanitation for more than 10 days. Classes and meeting rooms are sanitized before and after being used. Effective immediately, we will be instituting more stringent protocols, which will continue to be modified as the situation develops.
- We will be requesting that each visitor sign-in when entering the building. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will also be available at all entry and exit points.
- All meetings will have a “conference call” option.
- Scheduled classes will be evaluated on an individual basis, but are planned to continue as usual.
- Events and gatherings of more than 20 people are being suspended, to comply with social distancing recommendations.
- Spiva had a busy couple of months planned and specific events will be postponed or rescheduled.

- Mar 21 Portfolio Reviews, Dr. April Watson’s Juror’s Talk and the Awards Ceremony have been canceled. Again, our plan is to reschedule before the exhibit closes or possibly host virtual events on line. At this time, Dr. Watson plans to travel to Joplin to judge the show, we will update you if that changes.
