In this hands-on class, elementary students will explore photography as an art form, learning design principles, composition, and lighting. Cameras will be provided for students to check out and use to create their own photographic art.
Select pieces will be displayed in Spiva’s Reserve Gallery throughout March, with artwork available for sale. Upon returning the checked out cameras to Spiva, staff will print select images, frame, and hang them in the reserve gallery to take part in the exhibit. Artists will receive 70% commission on sold work. Join us for an artist reception and awards ceremony on March 15th at 1 pm to celebrate the students’ creativity as part of the 49th Annual PhotoSpiva exhibit!
