SUMMARY:CALL FOR ART: Printmaking Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Spiva Center for the Arts is pleased to announce an upcoming call for entries for a printmaking-focused exhibition celebrating the depth\, versatility\, and creative potential of the medium. Artists working in all forms of printmaking—from traditional techniques such as etching\, woodcut\, and lithography to contemporary and experimental processes—are encouraged to apply. \nThis year’s call will place a special emphasis on the use of collage within printmaking\, inviting artists to explore layering\, fragmentation\, and the interplay of multiple printed elements. Artists incorporating collage-based approaches—whether through mixed processes\, assembled prints\, or hybrid techniques—are especially encouraged to submit work that expands the boundaries of the medium. \nThis exhibition aims to showcase a broad range of approaches to printmaking\, highlighting both technical mastery and innovative exploration. Whether rooted in tradition or pushing the boundaries of the medium\, submitted works should reflect a strong engagement with print-based processes. Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to participate. \nThe exhibition will open to the public on August 7\, 2026\, inside the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex\, inviting the community to experience the richness and diversity of printmaking firsthand. \n  \nImportant Dates: \nSubmissions open on CaFE (CallForEntry.org): April 22\, 2026 \nSubmission deadline: June 22\, 2026 at 11:59pm \nAcceptance notification: June 26\, 2026 \nArtwork delivery deadline: July 24\, 2026 \nExhibit opens to public: August 7\, 2026 \n  \nQuestions?
