PhotoSpiva Teens is an immersive photography workshop for middle and high school students ready to deepen their technical skills and creative voice. Andy will guide participants through key photography elements—including manual shooting, lighting, composition, and introductory Photoshop techniques—before heading out on a hands-on photo walk around downtown Joplin.
A limited number of cameras will be available for use during class. Students participating in PhotoSpiva Kids & Teens may also borrow a camera from Spiva for one week (if they don’t have their own) to continue photographing and submit work.

Youth Exhibit Opportunity!
Each student will have work selected to be featured in the PhotoSpiva Kids & Teens Exhibit, with a public reception at 11:00 AM on May 9. Artwork will be available for sale, and youth artists will receive a 70% commission on sold work.
A meaningful opportunity for teens to build skills, gain confidence, and exhibit their photography in a professional gallery setting.
