Watercolor USA is a prestigious national competitive exhibition celebrating excellence in water media painting. Now in its second year at Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, Missouri, the exhibition continues a legacy that began at the Springfield Art Museum in 1962. Spiva is honored to steward this historic exhibition and carry forward its tradition of showcasing exceptional contemporary water media artists.
2026 juror, Carol Carter, is an internationally recognized artist with a career spanning more than 35 years. Now residing in St. Louis, Missouri, she has taught workshops for over three decades, including at the university level, and her work has been featured in numerous national and international juried and invitational exhibitions.
