Go behind the scenes of the World Street Painting Festival and hear directly from the internationally acclaimed artists transforming Joplin into a global destination for 3D street art.
As part of the 2026 World Street Painting Festival celebrating the Route 66 Centennial, artists from around the world will gather to share their creative processes, newest techniques, and the stories that inspire their large-scale optical illusions. From concept sketches to perspective tricks, discover how these immersive artworks come to life on the pavement.
Featuring artists representing the United States, The Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Poland, Mexico, and India, this special evening offers a rare opportunity to learn from some of the leading innovators in contemporary street painting.
Presented in collaboration with Spiva Center for the Arts, Connect2Culture, VisitJoplin, and World Street Painting, the evening will include time for gathering and mingling with artists beginning at 6:30pm, followed by the Artist Talk at 7:00pm.
