Join the Joplin Arts District and Spiva Center for the Arts as we come together to celebrate the start of National Arts & Humanities Month during First Thursday Artwalk!
Thursday, October 1 | Gather at 4:50 PM at City Hall

• Proclamation presented by Joplin Mayor Rob O’Brian
• Then stay downtown and enjoy First Thursday ArtWalk
• At Spiva, stop in and get creative with a couple of fun, all-ages activities. Make your own button or create a colorful paper spinner to take home
October is a chance to celebrate all the ways arts and culture make Joplin a stronger, more vibrant community. From visual art, theatre and music to murals, festivals, classes, performances and creative spaces, the arts connect us, support local artists and organizations, contribute to our economy, and make Joplin a great place to live, work and visit.
