Contemporary Locale: Obelisk Artists

“Contemporary Locale” is more than just an exhibition; it is a shared vision of Obelisk Gallery, a well-established gallery in Springfield, Missouri known for promoting artists and their work, and Spiva Center for the Arts to support and promote contemporary art in their communities. This collaboration not only highlights the talent and creativity of local artists but also strengthens the cultural connections between Springfield and Joplin.

Over a dozen regional artists will be represented in the exhibit, many of whom have never been exhibited in Joplin. For the artists, this collaboration provides a broader platform to showcase their work, reaching new audiences and gaining greater exposure.
