RAINMAKER
12×12 oil on panel
Inspired by Renaissance artists, as well as German painter, printmaker, theorist, and writer Albrecht Dürer. I did a glaze of his famous etching of a rhinoceros. He depicted the animal with scales and a horn on its back. Despite its inaccuracies, it was wildly popular mostly due to his reputation as a well-known artist. I find that this story draws interesting parallels between our current times.
