Join Create2Educate in a Global Children’s Art Collaboration!
“Prone to Wander” — A Joint Uganda & USA Art Project
Create2Educate is bringing together 100 children—50 from Kampala, Uganda and 50 from Joplin, Missouri for a cross-cultural art experience!
Each child will create a small 5″ x 5″ artwork on canvas using a special sheep template designed by artist Cindy Head of Webb City, Missouri. Together, these individual creations will form one powerful collective piece titled “Prone to Wander,” inspired by The Parable of the Lost Sheep from Luke 15.
Choose between 3 time slots:
- 10 – 11:30 am
- 12:30 – 2 pm
- 2:30 – 4 pm
This collaborative work will be on display at Spiva Center for the Arts in starting November 1, 2025, celebrating connection, compassion, and creativity across continents. The exhibit will run through December 19th.
Each original piece will be auctioned to raise funds for programs that support underprivileged children allowing the young artists themselves to take part in uplifting their peers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Spiva Center for the Arts Scholarship Fund, while the remaining funds will be used to purchase school supplies for the 50 Ugandan children who participated.
Every child will also receive a beautiful ART BOOK featuring all 100 artworks, along with the story of the Lost Sheep and the Shepherd who left the 99 to find the one who was lost.
Together, through art, we remind the world that every single one matters.
