A welcoming, monthly art class designed for students ages 10–17 with down syndrome, autism, or other forms of neurodiversity. This parent- or caregiver-led class provides a supportive space for creative expression, connection, and exploration.
Each session features fun, simple, and engaging art projects that encourage creativity, build confidence, and celebrate individuality. With a focus on flexibility and enjoyment, students are encouraged to create at their own pace—without pressure or expectations.
Caregivers stay and participate alongside their student, offering support and encouragement throughout the session. This collaborative approach helps foster connection while making the creative process accessible and fun for everyone.
FAQ:
- Do I need to buy a ticket for myself and my child?
- No. You only buy a ticket for the child(ren)participating in the projects. Projects are caregiver led, meaning caregivers stay and help their artist through areas they may need additional support in with the instructors guidance.
- Do you have a similar program for students outside of the 10-17 age range?
- Not at the moment. Creativity Unlimited was created based on direct conversations with parents and caregivers over the last few months. Spiva is run by a small staff working to create more opportunities everyday. We love getting feedback on programming that are desired in the community.
