Discover the beauty and symbolism of pysanky, the traditional Ukrainian art of egg decorating. In this hands-on class, students will learn the wax-resist and dyeing process used to create intricate patterns and layered designs.

Carolyn, a Master Pysanky Artist, will guide participants step by step through applying wax, building color through multiple dye baths, and revealing the final design.

What to expect:

  • Learn the history and meaning behind pysanky designs

  • Practice wax-resist techniques using traditional tools

  • Create and take home your own decorated pysanky egg

  • All materials provided

No prior experience is necessary. This class is ideal for teens and adults interested in cultural art traditions, detailed design, and mindful, process-driven making.
