The Friends of St. Avips is hosting the 64th Annual St. Avips Ball, the “Fleur de Mai Ball”, Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Harry M Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex.
The Sana S. Shagets Art Auction for the Friends of St. Avips is conducted as a silent auction, with a web-based platform for our event guests, as well as off-site participants. The web component maximizes exposure, enabling a larger audience to view and bid upon participant’s artwork
Please note the following guidelines for art submission:
• The Ball theme “Fleur de Mai Ball” is not a requirement or suggested approach, although artists are welcome to incorporate images of spring and May Day into their work.
• Entry submissions open Monday, March 30; the deadline is Friday, April 17.
• Each artist may submit up to two (2) pieces of original art.
• Giclee and prints are not accepted.
• Art size is limited to 38” width and 70” length.
• Art weight limit is 25 pounds.
• All art must be suitably framed, if applicable. The committee does accept unframed gallery wrapped canvas, finished on all sides.
• All art must be wired to hang, if applicable, no sawtooth hangers.
• No work accepted that has been previously entered in a St Avips Art Auction.
• Please submit photos of artwork and the artist entry form to the friendsofstavips.com website.
• Delivery is Saturday, April 25, from 10:00am-noon at the Cornell Complex.
• Art is displayed and available for bidding beginning April 29 (tentative).
• Pick up of any unsold artwork is Saturday, May 2, 10am – noon, at the Cornell Complex. (Artist will be notified via their preferred contact method, if they need to arrange for pick up.)
• The Friends of St. Avips reserve the right to decline any artwork prior to the event.
