Jesse McCormick’s Whirled World of Freed Fantasies draws viewers into an environment where perception becomes fluid and the ordinary slips quietly into the uncanny. Shapes suggest themselves and then shift, as if caught mid-thought, inviting the eye to linger and complete what is only partially revealed. Familiar forms hover at the edge of recognition, while unexpected juxtapositions open into scenes that feel at once playful and elusive.
Throughout the exhibition, imagery unfolds like a waking dream. Figures, symbols, and fragments appear suspended in motion, connected by an internal logic that resists straightforward explanation. The work embraces a sense of transformation—where one thing becomes another, where boundaries soften, and where meaning remains open rather than fixed. It is a world that feels discovered rather than constructed, as though it has always existed just beneath the surface of everyday seeing.
Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, this exhibition encourages a different kind of engagement: one rooted in curiosity, association, and the willingness to see beyond what is immediately given.
